MEXICO CITY

Are you looking for one of the biggest capital cities in the world?

Mexico City has an exhausing list of activities to fill your holiday time - with pleasant weather (about 20 degrees celcius) all year round.  If twenty-four hour nightclubs, restaurants and entertainment appeal to you - the "Zona Rosa" is the place to be and certainly the best place to stay.  Getting around Mexico City is relatively simple - but catching the subway or "Metro" is not recommended during peak hour and taxis should only be hired from "Sitio" (taxi stands).

The "Zocalo" is the historical centre of Mexico City and has a large square where you can relax and get your bearings while sipping a tequilla.  Some architecture in Mexico City dates back to the 1800's and the mix of past and modern will certainly impress and facinate.  Teotihuacan is approximately one hour from Mexico City and offers the 'Egypt-scale' Aztec pyramids.

Day tours to the silver mine in Taxco are heartily recommended and the Mexican colonial architecture is wonderful.  Be sure to see the Museo Nacional de Arts,  the Museo Nacional de Antropologia (very impressive and may take more than one visit to see everything) and Sunday is family day at Parque Mexico.  Big fun, massive variety -  Mexico City has it all!
